Statement Regarding Contractor at St. Patrick Parish, Yorkville

A contractor working at St. Patrick Parish in Yorkville, Illinois, was charged with grooming by the Yorkville Police Department on September 11, 2026. This conduct was in no way related to his work with St. Patrick Parish.

Upon being notified by law enforcement, the parish terminated its relationship with this contactor. In their position, the contractor did not interact with children, nor did they have any contact with any children at the parish.

The safety and well-being of children remain our highest priority, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, parishioners, staff, and visitors.

St. Patrick Parish and the Diocese of Joliet are cooperating fully with local law enforcement. We recognize the seriousness of these allegations and continue to keep all those affected in our prayers.
